Last year our Elementary School Students joined over 90,000 kids across 36 states in our City’s first Ruby Bridges Walks to School Day. This year we would love to invite PMS and PHS/MHS students to join trischool elementary students as we honor Ruby Bridges and her courageous message of kindness, inclusion and activism.

Join us this year as our event is now City-Wide!

LOCATION: PIEDMONT PARK
TIME: 7:45-8:15 am. Come anytime before 8:15.
DATE: Nov 14

7:45 am: Pathways of Kindness. Our High School Affinity Mentors will be at Piedmont Park to create Pathways of Kindness in our City’s Center. We will be drawing with chalk on our sidewalks. Create a bouquet of diversity, talk bubbles with important messages, rainbows of all colors, robots or aliens of all shapes and sizes – whatever you want to show that we are a community where “everyone is welcome and belongs!” We also will be handing out cool Ruby Bridges swag – first come, first serve. Please be considerate when taking swag so we have enough for everyone.

8:05 am: The Ruby Bridges Pledge. Hear our Affinity Mentors speak about Ruby Bridges and her message. Take the Ruby Bridges Pledge together!

8:10 am:  Gather Together and prepare to walk to school.
