Firecracker Math Summer Camp in Oakland/Piedmont and Berkeley Offers Chess in the Afternoon

Robert Sulman is joining us again this year to teach chess and advanced math at our Oakland/Piedmont and Berkeley camps. He holds a PhD in math, teaches at SUNY Oneonta, and is both a FIDE and USCF Life Master in chess (USCF rating 2200+).

Oakland/Berkeley: Kehilla Synagogue, 1300 Grand Ave. Dates: June 8–12 (Almost Full), June 22–26, July 13–17, July 27–31.
Berkeley: Netivot Shalom, 1316 University Ave. Dates: June 15–19 (Almost Full), July 6–10, July 20–24.
Additional locations: Lafayette, San Francisco, and Mill Valley.
Mornings are filled with engaging math—number theory, geometry, algebra—taught in small groups through games and hands-on activities. Campers enjoy outdoor breaks and, in the afternoons, hands-on activities like chess, art, science, and games.
