Fall Music Programs open at The Magnolia Music School

Magnolia Music School is a creative home for young musicians in Oakland. We offer private lessons, group classes, and youth choirs that emphasize expression over perfection, with an indie folk/pop vibe.

Our approach is student-centered and rooted in real-world musicianship. Whether kids are learning their first chords, writing original songs, or harmonizing with friends, we meet them where they are and with warmth. 

It’s a cozy, vintage-style music school built for creativity and confidence. This fall, we’re offering a handful of small group classes for kids and welcome a few new students from the neighborhood.

We’re enrolling now for:

• Magnolia Youth Choir (ages 6-13) – joyful, collaborative, and expressive
• Beginner Ukulele (ages 7-9) – no experience needed
• Beginner Guitar (ages 8-13) – gentle, confidence-building intro class

All classes begin the week of September 8, and space is limited to keep group sizes small and personal.

We also have slots available for beginner ukulele 1-1 lessons for children as young as 4. And we have a super fun family singalong for littles on Wednesday mornings!
