PEF Brings Community Together at New Poolside Pavilion

 In News

On Monday, May 18, the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) hosted a community event at the brand-new Ellis Family Pavilion, overlooking the Piedmont Community Pool. PEF’s Community Engagement Chairs, Molly Lloyd, Sarah Pearson, and Rich Thompson, welcomed “empty nesters” to an evening of margaritas, light bites, and the opportunity to connect with each other.

About 60 community members attended the reception and were encouraged to drop by the AP Art Exhibit at Piedmont High School which was being held at the same time. “It is a common misconception that PUSD only serves families with current students,” said Thompson. “In reality, our schools offer cultural and athletic experiences for the entire city that enrich the Piedmont community.” During his remarks, Thompson shared that PEF was pleased to host enjoyable community events. “All we ask in return is that when PEF comes knocking, you respond generously,” he concluded.

The heart of town buzzed with activity, with open houses at the middle and high schools, community group meetings, and families enjoying the warm day at the pool, creating a vibrant backdrop for the event. The Ellis Family Pavilion provided the perfect vantage point to take it all in.

PEF continues to create meaningful opportunities for all community members to stay connected and support Piedmont schools, helping ensure that current and future generations receive an exceptional educational experience. To learn more about PEF programs, visit PiedmontEdFoundation.org.
