A New Era for PEF

A New Era for the Piedmont Education Foundation

PEF fills two important roles in welcoming Sasha Bainer as Fundraising and Campaign Manager, and Heather Meil as Marketing Communications Manager.

After a rigorous search which included multiple interviews with dozens of qualified applicants, two candidates stood out above all others. “This was a critical selection process for the organization,” said Susan Terrill, PEF Executive Director.  “There are so many things to consider in addition to skill set and experience.  There’s the distinct community culture, District interactions, volunteer management, and alignment with the Board’s long term vision to balance. Sasha and Heather checked every box!”

In addition to welcoming new staff, PEF has been very busy this summer preparing for the 2016-2017 school year.  Partnering closely with PUSD to build the new e-commerce site, The Piedmont Store, launching a brand new Partners in Education program, developing a new PHS/MHS Internship program, and creating a fundraising tool-kit for volunteers of other school support organizations are among a few key summer projects.

Still left on the to-do list:  on-board on a new Finance Coordinator and SCRIP program lead.  “Fortunately,” adds Terrill, “both of these critical operational roles are currently pending, and we have a great team lined up.  It’s going to be an amazing year for PEF!”
