The City of Piedmont Recreation Department will host the 5th annual Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont event on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Last year’s event Play Like a Girl+ encouraged approximately 1,000 girls+ to get involved in sports in a fun and supportive environment! More than 20 sports organizations from around the Bay Area will have hands-on activities for girls ages 2-18 to try. From hockey to pickleball to rowing, there will truly be something for everyone! There will be live demonstrations, a sports raffle, an equipment swap hosted by Dress Best for Less, and professional and Olympic athletes!

The event is free, however advanced registration is preferred. Register at piedmont.ca.gov/SpecialEvents. This is not a drop-off event. Parent participation is encouraged. piedmont.ca.gov/playlikeagirl
