Kick off the winter holiday season at Piedmont’s annual celebration of light. Originally started in 1969 as the tree lighting ceremony, Lights Up! evolves and expands this cherished tradition.

Join us for:

• illumination of the 80-foot redwood tree
• menorah lighting
• latkes, cider, and hot cocoa
• seasonal craft activities coordinated by the Piedmont Girl Scouts and Piedmont Recreation Department
• photos with Santa Claus inside the Community Hall

Lights Up! is a free community event made possible by the support of the Piedmont Beautification Foundation (PBF). PBF obtains, installs, and removes the colorful LED lights that adorn the illuminated tree each year. Throughout the year, PBF partners with the City to provide research and funding for projects that increase safety, beauty, and function of Piedmont’s extensive and unique public facilities.
