17th Annual Piedmont Arbor & Earth Day Celebration

April 26 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Kids will have a chance to meet a raptor, see Public Works’ big trucks, and make wildlife-themed crafts at Piedmont’s annual Arbor Day celebration, hosted by Piedmont Public Works and the Piedmont Park Commission:

Arbor and Earth Day Celebration 2024
Friday, April 26, 3-5pm
Piedmont Community Hall, 711 Highland Avenue

The annual Arbor Day event, which dates back to 2007, celebrates the nearly 9,000 trees the Public Works Department maintains in Piedmont’s parks and public spaces. The theme of this year’s event is “Wildlife in the Parks.” Join us for:

– Wildlife meet & greet: Get up close and personal with a live hawk or owl, courtesy of the Lindsay Wildlife Center.
– Public Works big trucks: See the equipment Public Works staff uses daily in their work to keep Piedmont’s trees and public spaces healthy and beautiful. Children will be able to climb up and sit in the cab of the trucks.
– Wildlife themed arts & crafts: Make an owl from a pinecone! Parks Commissioners will be on hand to assist little ones with their creations.
– Raffle: Enter to win a Lego set or children’s book related to Arbor and Earth Day themes.

The Arbor Day celebration is free to attend
