Piedmont’s own local resale shop Dress Best For Less (DBFL) recently presented Piedmont Educational Foundation with a $60,000 gift.  DBFL is one of the largest donors to the Piedmont schools, having donated $110,000 during the 2014-15 school year. Since its founding in 1982, DBFL has donated over $1 million to the Piedmont schools through PEF.

PEF President Christine von Metzsch says, “We are extremely grateful to DBFL for their generosity and support of the Piedmont schools. PEF offers grants for professional growth, exploration, collaboration and classroom innovation. DBFL understands that their donations matter in the classroom and make a difference to students.”  Dress Best for Less president Peggy Chan is proud of DBFL’s longstanding history of supporting the Piedmont schools, stating, “We are happy to donate to PEF. It’s a great organization that puts our funds to good use.”

DBFL  is a nonprofit organization benefiting the children of Piedmont whose shops offer affordable quality vintage and gently used clothing and decor at their shop at 3861 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland.  Residents can also support the schools by donating gently used items at the Marking Room at 799 Magnolia Ave in Piedmont.
