Dress Best for Less Presents $30,000 to Piedmont Education Foundation

Piedmont, CA, April 29, 2019: The Board of Directors, Staff, and beneficiaries of Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) are deeply grateful to Dress Best for Less (DBFL) for their continuous generosity. On March 2, 2019, DBFL presented PEF with a check for $30,000 to be used in support of Piedmont’s public schools.

The check was presented by DBFL Vice President and Liaison to the PEF board, Linda Smith Munyan, to PEF Board Chair, Eileen Kwei and PEF Executive Director, Heather Frank. “The DBFL team works so hard and with such dedication and they make a huge impact on our schools,” says Frank.  “We appreciate their commitment to furthering the work of PEF by strengthening our schools.” DBFL is the largest donor to PEF with over $1 million donated in the last thirty years.

Smith Munyan is proud of her organization’s longstanding history of supporting the Piedmont schools.  “Given the economic challenges facing our district, Piedmont Education Foundation is more important today than ever,” says Smith Munyan. “Dress Best for Less (DBFL) is proud to help PEF meet its financial goals so that our schools are able to offer a rich educational experience for all Piedmont students.”

About Dress Best For Less (DBFL)

Formed in 1982 by a group of forward-thinking Piedmont parents who decided to support the schools by collecting donated household items and clothing to sell to the community, the group was given an unused room at Havens School and grew quickly to form a successful nonprofit, Dress Best for Less. With a storefront on Lakeshore Avenue and a marking room on Magnolia Ave across from PHS, DBFL offers affordable fine vintage and gently used clothing and decor. Residents can support DBFL by donating quality items at the Marking Room at 799 Magnolia Ave and by shopping at 3411 Lakeshore Avenue
