Seating is first come\, first served and will be picnic-style on the lawn. Bring a blanket or a low beach chair to enjoy the performance. \nFriendly\, well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be on leash. \nParking is limited\, so consider walking\, biking\, or carpooling to the performance. \nThis performance marks the fourth appearance of Vallejo Shakespeare in Piedmont. Previous stagings include The Winter’s Tale (2023)\, Hamlet (2022)\, and Henry V (2019). Established in 2010\, Vallejo Shakespeare Group produces one live Shakespeare production each summer\, with free performances in outdoor settings across the Bay Area. Children will be able to climb up and sit in the cab of the trucks.\nArts & crafts: Park Commissioners will be on hand to assist little ones with their creations.\nOwl naming contest: A photo exhibit and naming contest will highlight raptors living in Piedmont Parks\, including a nesting pair of great horned owls that have taken up residence in Dracena Park. Community members can share name suggestions online in advance at piedmont.ca.gov/DracenaOwls.\nRaffle: Kids can enter to win a Lego set or children’s book related to Arbor and Earth Day themes. New this year\, a raffle for adult attendees will offer an opportunity to take home a California native plant for your garden.\nElectric leaf blower games: Gas powered leaf blowers are not allowed in Piedmont\, but clean\, quiet electric alternatives can get the job done. Recreation Department staff will be serving hot latkes donated by Chabad Jewish Center.\n• Seasonal activities: Enjoy light-themed crafts and games in the courtyard hosted by Piedmont Girl Scouts and the Piedmont Recreation Department. Attendees can write letters to Santa and pose for photos with Santa inside Community Hall.\n• Music\, memories\, and illumination: The program will begin at 6 p.m.\, emceed by Piedmont Beautification President Patty Dunlap.
