DESCRIPTION:The Piedmont Recreation Department is dedicated to promoting girls+ in sports. Each fall PRD hosts a series of programs that utilize sports as a way of encouraging girls+\, developing their leadership skills and boosting their self-esteem. Don’t worry about dinner—a food truck will be on hand at each event. \nSept 15th: Badminton\, Lacrosse\, Ultimate Frisbee \nOct 6th: Fencing\, Flag Football\, TBD \nOct 27th: Disc Golf\, TBD \nNo matter their skill level\, girls+ will have the opportunity to try various hands-on activities for each sport. Athletes can meet the coaches\, ask questions\, and learn about opportunities with the community. For more information\, contact JoNae Gonzales\, jgonzales@piedmont.ca.gov. Advanced registration is preferred: \npiedmont.ca.gov/recreation \nNote: A food truck will be at each event. \n*To ensure that our community is inclusive and equitable\, we are intentionally using an ‘+ in girls+ to include cis\, trans\, non-binary\, gender non-conforming\, gender queer and any female-identified individuals.
