Help celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Harvest Festival

…Young people increasingly are isolated from the land and deprived of the joys and responsibilities it teaches.
Alice Waters

School gardens are a wonderful way to use the schoolyard as a classroom, reconnect students with the natural world and the true source of their food, and teach them valuable gardening and agriculture concepts and skills.

As part of the celebration, you are invited to help us encourage the next generation to embrace backyard gardening. Funds are being raised to support the edible gardens in our three elementary schools.

We are fundraising to purchase:

  • New ½ barrel planters
  • Full sized shovels
  • New Kid’s sized Trowels
  • New Kids’ sized garden gloves
  • Hoses
  • Outdoor chalkboard
  • Compost bins
  • Bags of fir mulch
  • Apple trees, vegetable seeds
  • Fertilizer

Gifts received before September 18th will be recognized in the Piedmont Post unless directed otherwise. Please fill out the form below to make your donation.
