PRD Seeking Teen Sidekicks for winter/spring AND summer. Announces new website.

PRD offers a wide variety of adaptive afterschool programs throughout the year as well as summer camps for neurodiverse children. Programs range from one-day workshops to week-long camps. If your teen enjoys working with children, giving back to the community and having a whole lot of fun, we would love to meet them.

Teen Sidekicks are truly committed and enjoy working closely with neurodiverse students. The Sidekicks program simply would not be possible without the help of our amazing Teen Sidekick volunteers. As we continue to grow the Sidekicks program, PRD is looking for additional teens (ages 14+) to help create lasting memories and play an integral role in supporting the growth and overall experience for children with neurodiverse needs.

This unique experience is unlike any other and is incredibly rewarding. Sidekicks attend a training and are fully supported by PRD staff. Community service hours are available upon request. Sidekicks may be eligible to receive a letter of recommendation. No experience necessary.

PRD also announced that they will be launching a new Sidekicks website the week of February 15. The website will have all information about the Sidekicks program – school year programs (classes and 1-day workshops), summer programs (adaptive camps versus 1-on-1 matching), the program goals and philosophy, how to register, Teen Sidekicks with links to apply, information on how to be an instructor, how classes are adapted for neurodiverse children, our contact information, and more.

If you have any questions about the program, contact Sidekicks.
