The Piedmont Educational Foundation has pledged to provide leadership and financial support to the District for conducting K-12 educational long-range planning and priority setting. This project plans to engage the District and the community to develop a strategy that would guide continuous improvement of the District’s educational program strengths, priorities, and opportunities. We are honored to partner with the District in this community engagement program which will benefit the entire K-12 educational spectrum.

The Foundation Fund will continue to play a larger role in supporting the district.
Endowment Fund
The Piedmont Educational Foundation set a goal of raising a $5 million endowment, to provide substantial, predictable and enduring support for our schools. To date, generous Piedmonters have donated over $3.7 million to help keep Piedmont’s schools among the best in the country. Donations to the Endowment are invested, and the income generated is available to the school district to fund programs that teachers, staff and parents agree are priorities. Because of the Fund’s growth, annual distributions to the school district have grown from $47,000 in 2002 to $158,602 pledged for next year. At the $5 million mark, the Endowment Fund will generate $250,000 each year to support our schools.
Partners in Education Program
The Piedmont Educational Foundation’s Partners in Education Program presents an opportunity for local businesses to partner with the Piedmont schools to support high quality education. As current and future employers, these businesses and professionals realize that a strong educational background is imperative for success. Great schools are the way to assure this, and our Partners have been very generous with their support. In 2008-09, the Partners in Education donated over $60,000 to the Piedmont Educational Foundation, which was used to support professional development for teachers from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Thank you to all our Partners!
